India sent 10 thousand soldiers to LAC, still more preparations; China said- this will not bring peace…

The tension that has been going on for many years on the eastern Ladakh border between India and China is not showing any sign of abating. Meanwhile, in view of China’s actions, India has decided to deploy more troops.

However, China is not liking this. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Friday that India’s move to deploy more troops along the disputed border is “not conducive to reducing tensions”.

According to media reports, India has shifted a contingent of 10,000 troops from its western border and deployed it near the northern border to strengthen its disputed border with China.

China is enraged by this strategic move of India. According to news agency Reuters, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said, “We are ready to work together with India for peace and stability on the border and its surrounding areas. “India’s actions regarding LAC are not in favor of establishing peace.”

Let us tell you that in view of the tension with China, the North India (UB) area located in Bareilly will be converted into a full-fledged Army Corps. Presently it is a combat formation designed primarily for administrative, training and other peacekeeping purposes. It will now be converted into a full-fledged corps with additional infantry, artillery, aviation, air defense and engineer brigades.

Speaking to our associate newspaper Hindustan Times (HT), former Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General DS Hooda (retd) had said, “The North India (UB) area has some operational responsibilities along the LAC, but a largely administrative responsibility. Being the headquarters, this area was not organized for tasks like fighting wars.

However, now additional troops will be deployed here for the central region. Along with this, converting UB area into core headquarters is a good step. “This will strengthen operational capability amid the growing dispute over LAC with China.”

The Army wants the UB area to be converted into an operational corps to protect the central sector of the 3,488 km long Line of Actual Control (LAC).

India and China have previously agreed to maintain dialogue through military and diplomatic channels, and recently also held a meeting on resolving border issues.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning further said, “China is committed to working with India to safeguard the peace and stability of the border areas. “We believe that India’s move is not conducive to safeguarding peace and is also not conducive to reducing tensions.”

India has deployed 10,000 troops from its western border to guard the 532 km (331 mi) border with China in Himalayan Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Angered by this move, China said, “India’s increase in military deployment in the border areas does not help in calming the situation in the border areas or maintaining peace and security in these areas.”
