After the killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar, the situation of tension between Canada and India is becoming serious.
Indian Embassy and officials are being openly threatened in Canada. India has closed some more consular camps due to lack of adequate security.
The Consulate General of India in Toronto said, Canadian security agencies are refusing to provide security despite continuous threats. Therefore some Consulate camps are having to be cancelled.
The Indian High Commission in Canada had planned to organize a consular camp. However, due to Khalistani threat and lack of security, it was decided to cancel the camp.
Camps were to be held in Brampton and Suri on 2 and 3 November. Which was already cancelled.
The statement said, the Consulate is very sensitive. About 4 thousand elderly people from India and Canada could reach here in the Greater Toronto area. In such a situation, these camps cannot be organized due to lack of security.
On November 2, the Hindu Mahasabha temple was attacked by a mob of Khalistanis. Consular camp was being organized in the temple. Ontario Police also could not take any action at the time of the attack.
Terrorist organization Sikh for Justice had said that they are against Indian consular officials. The Indian High Commission was organizing the camp to provide essential services to Indian-Canadians.
After this attack, the Foreign Ministry said that the consular camp is being targeted due to lack of security.
Let us tell you that ever since Justin Trudeau openly made baseless allegations against India for the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar last year, relations between the two countries have been continuously deteriorating.
