Her parents, Lakshmi and Radhakrishna Chilukuri, started their new life in India after Usha’s birth due to employment opportunities in America. For this reason, Usha spent her childhood in San Diego. He did his early education from Mount Carmes School. Usha did her higher education with BA in History from Yale University and MPhil in Modern History from Cambridge University.
