Airlines across the country continue to receive bomb threats. More than 30 planes received bomb threats in one day on Saturday. Due to these threats, an atmosphere of panic spreads among the passengers. They also have to face inconvenience.
Meanwhile, Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) Zulfiqar Hasan has said a big thing. He said that fake bomb threats will be curbed as soon as possible. Indian sky is completely safe. Passengers should travel without any fear.

Security agencies engaged in investigation
On Saturday, an important meeting of airlines companies was held at BCAS headquarters in Delhi. Airlines companies presented their problems to BCAS Director General Zulfikar Hasan. There was a long discussion on the issue of continuous threats. Representatives of the companies said that there could be congestion at the airport due to the bomb threat during the festive season. BCAS said it is working with security agencies. We will soon reach its root causes.
Passengers also troubled by threats
Due to continuous bomb threats, airlines are facing difficulty in operating normally. The representatives also said that the continuous threats have placed a huge burden on airlines, security forces and passengers. In the last one week, more than 70 planes have received bomb threats. Five flights each of Spice Jet and Air Asia received bomb threats. During investigation, all these threats were found to be fake.
Center preparing to amend the law
Meanwhile, due to these threats the government has also come on alert mode. The Ministry of Civil Aviation is in touch with many other ministries. Necessary amendments in the law are being discussed between these ministries. A committee will be constituted in consultation with the Ministry of Law and Home Affairs. This committee will prepare a draft of amendments in the Aircraft Act- 1934 and Aircraft Rules- 1937 and other laws. Its purpose is to give five years of jail to those who make fake bomb threats and put them on the no-fly list.
