Talks are going on regarding seat sharing in India alliance.
Efforts are being made to create a consensus among the constituent parties regarding seats. The Congress Party has also formed a team for this, which is meeting the regional party leaders of different states.
On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence to meet him.
During this time Rahul Gandhi was also present there. It is believed that an agreement has been reached between AAP and Congress regarding seat sharing in Delhi.
However, the situation regarding Punjab is not yet clear. In such a situation, the big question that arises is that if there is no alliance between the two in Punjab, then will it affect the health of the India alliance?
To know the answer to this question, there is a need to understand in detail the results of the 2017 assembly elections, in which there was an alliance between SP and Congress.
Akhilesh Yadav had given 114 seats to Congress in this election. At the same time, he himself contested on 311 seats. The result proved against the alliance.
SP could win 47 seats and Congress could win only seven seats. After this election, Akhilesh Yadav decided that he would never form an alliance with national parties and would take small parties along. He did this in 2022 and the results proved to be better than in 2017.
West Bengal- Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress is continuously saying that it will not give more than two-three seats to Congress.
Even if there is no seat sharing between Congress, Left parties and TMC here, it will not affect the health of the India alliance. The biggest reason for this is that there is a face-to-face fight between TMC and BJP. Congress is very weak here.
The stronghold of the Left parties has also collapsed in the last few elections. In such a situation, the more seats Mamata’s party contests and wins, the more the Indian alliance will benefit.
Punjab- Aam Aadmi Party is currently the largest party in the border state of Punjab. Here is his government. He captured power here only by defeating Congress. BJP’s position in this state is very weak. At present there is no alliance of any party with the Akali parties.
Here too, Congress does not have a direct fight with BJP. In such a situation, whether Congress or Aam Aadmi Party wins in Punjab, only the Indian alliance will benefit.
Kerala- The situation in Left Party ruled state Kerala is also similar. Here Bharatiya Janata Party is even weaker than Indian Union Muslim League. The real fight here is between Congress and the alliance of Left parties. BJP’s account was not even opened in the 2021 assembly elections.
In such a situation, if there is no alliance between Congress and Left parties here too, then there is no loss to the India alliance. Yes, if we fight together, BJP may definitely get a chance to gain a foothold here.
Tamilnadu- Now let’s talk about Tamil Nadu. In the politics here, BJP comes after DMK, AIADMK and Congress. Here too there is no direct fight between Congress and BJP. Here, whether Congress or BJP has been contesting elections in alliance.
