Many countries of the world are showing their interest in India’s Pinaka rocket system.
Amidst all this, its supply to Armenia, which had made a deal with India for this system two years ago, has been started.
Along with Pinaka rocket system, India is also supplying Akash air defense system to Armenia.
According to defense sources, the first consignment of Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher has reached Armenia.
Pinaka Rocket Launcher, built on the basis of India’s indigenous technology, is a highly lethal weapon system. Its rockets are capable of hitting ranges of more than 80 kilometers.
Not only Armenia but also the countries of South-East Asia and Europe have shown their interest in India’s Pinaka system.
India’s DRDO has recently conducted successful tests on many more variants as well.
This powerful rocket system of India is manufactured by Nagpur’s Solar Industries’ Economic Explosil Limited and government-owned India Limited.
There is also an important reason behind naming this rocket system Pinaka. Actually, in Hindu scriptures the name of Lord Shiva’s bow is Pinaka.
On that basis it has been named Pinaka. During the visit of India’s CDS Anil Chauhan to France, France had also shown its interest in this rocket system of India.
The Government of India is continuously showing its interest in increasing the defense industry in India. India’s defense material exports have increased significantly in the last few years. The demand for India’s rocket system and India’s BrahMos missiles has increased in many countries of the world.
