Hezbollah on Sunday launched a volley of Katyusha rockets targeting the town of Beit Hillel in northern Israel.
The terrorist group, which has consistently received support from Iran, said the attacks were intended to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
According to Hezbollah, the rocket attack on Beit Hillel was a direct response to Israeli attacks on the Lebanese towns of Kfar Kela and Deir Syriam.
At the same time, an Israeli attack was carried out in southern Lebanon, in which a Hezbollah military officer was killed. His car was targeted in the attack.
An Israeli drone fired three air-to-ground missiles at a car travelling on a main road in the southwestern municipality of Bajourieh, killing its driver, military sources said on condition of anonymity.
According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Ali Nazih Abdul Ali, a Hezbollah military officer in the southwestern Lebanese city of Etat. He was active in the western sector of the border region.
Additionally, Israel carried out three attacks on Friday night targeting trucks carrying food supplies in the Hawash al-Sayyed Ali area on the Syrian-Lebanese border, wounding one Syrian driver.
Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has threatened to give a massive response to the Israeli attack at the right time and place.
