There is a close contest between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris for the US presidential election.
Although Kamala Harris may have won the last and the first debate between the two, Trump has not yet accepted his defeat.
He has been continuously claiming to form a new government in America. Meanwhile, the claim of the American intelligence agency FBI has created a stir.
According to the agency, Iranian cyber attackers sent “stolen non-public” online material from Donald Trump’s campaign to Joe Biden’s team.
US intelligence and law enforcement agencies said hackers “sent unsolicited emails to individuals associated with President Biden’s campaign that contained excerpts of non-public material stolen from former President Trump’s campaign.”
Let us tell you that at that time Biden was the Democratic presidential candidate, but in July he dramatically announced the end of his candidacy and endorsed the name of Kamala Harris.
what is the matter
The US National Intelligence Agency, FBI, said in a statement that in July, people associated with Biden’s campaign team had received an unsolicited email in which Iranian hackers had sent non-public online material related to Trump’s campaign.
However, Biden’s team did not respond to that email. In August, the agency blamed Iran for the hack and accused Tehran of trying to influence the 2024 elections. However, Iran denied these allegations.
“As election day in November approaches, foreign powers are increasing their activities to influence the election,” the statement said.
Russia, Iran, and China are specifically accused of “attempting to exacerbate divisions in American society in some way for their own benefit.”
US agencies said Iranian cyber attackers also attempted to share information stolen from the Trump campaign with American media organizations. However, the agency did not name those outlets.
Iran on allegations
In August, Iran denied the allegations and its mission to the United Nations challenged Washington to release evidence. “Such allegations are baseless and have no basis,” the Iranian mission said at the time.
“As we have previously announced, the Islamic Republic of Iran has neither intention nor purpose to interfere in the US presidential election.”
