Malik Shah Mohammad was not present at home at the time of the blast. This blast took place in Bannu city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Malik Shah has been elected from here and he has also been a minister in the PTI government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The police have cordoned off the area and are searching for the suspects. Till now no one has been arrested in this case.
It is being said in some media reports that this attack was carried out by undercover agents of ISI. It is believed that this incident has been carried out due to the tension arising between the current government of Pakistan, army and Imran Khan’s party.
The government and the army are in one camp, while the opposition Imran Khan is in jail. The symbol of Imran Khan’s party has also been snatched away in the elections.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has been targeting opposition leaders many times. ISI has also had considerable interference in the political system of Pakistan.
