ISIS caught in Assam – ISIS’s India Chief Haris Farooqui has a big connection with Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand.
He is said to be the son of a Unani doctor living here. According to local intelligence and police, he has not come to Dehradun for the last ten years.
The central agency has come to Dehradun several times to gather information about him. It is being told that his father has also been missing for many days.
However, it has not been confirmed. The central agency has arrested a youth named Haris Farooqui along with his friend in Assam.
His friend Anurag had accepted Islam a few days ago. Haris Faruqui has been a student of Aligarh Muslim University. SSP Ajay Singh said that Haris’s father runs a Unani dispensary near Tehsil Chowk here.
For the last twenty years, Farooqui’s family has been living in Dalanwala, Dehradun, while other relatives live in Singal Mandi. SSP Ajay Singh said that the local police had this input for a long time.
But it came to light that he had not come to Dehradun for the last ten years.
His father was also contacted by Dehradun Police. On the other hand, according to sources, STF was also in contact with Haris’s father for a long time and had called him for questioning several times. Still no input received. Police are keeping a close watch on the matter.
The accused’s father was a Municipal Corporation doctor.
According to sources, the father of the accused was a doctor posted in the Unani Dispensary run by the Municipal Corporation on Gandhi Road. When the government closed all the Unani dispensaries in the Municipal Corporation, the father of the accused started running his own dispensary.
When the Municipal Corporation vacated his shop here, he was allotted a shop in his new premises. Presently he operates a rented clinic in the Municipal Corporation Complex on the other side of the park.
Haris’s family expressed ignorance about the arrest
The Hindustan team managed to contact Haris’s family members living in Dehradun late in the night. When Haris’ uncle Dr. Tariq was asked whether he was aware that Haris had been arrested, he said that no, we do not know anything.
It is definitely said that Haris’s father and he together run their own clinic in the Municipal Corporation premises. Told that he has not had any contact with Haris for a long time.
He had gone to Aligarh to study and was currently coaching there. Dr. Tariq said that he cannot tell much about this because he does not have any information about it.
