Tel Aviv. Israel has launched massive attacks on Lebanon’s Hezbollah with artillery and missiles after the pager attack. Many Hezbollah hideouts in southern Lebanon were destroyed in these attacks. Apart from the Israeli Air Force attack in Majdal Salem area, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah structures in five other areas of southern Lebanon. This attack took place after the pager attack, in which thousands of Hezbollah fighters were injured.
The Israel Defense Forces reported that from Wednesday night to morning, the Air Force attacked Hezbollah targets in the Odesseh, Markaba, Blida, Maroun el Ras and Chihin areas. Drone intrusion alerts were issued in several areas in the Lake Kinneret area in northern Israel. Sirens sounded in Tiberias, Kfar Nahum and Ginosar, among other places. The Israel Defense Forces reported that after the siren sounded in the Sea of Galilee area, a drone was intercepted, which came from Iraq into Israeli territory. The last warning of drone intrusion in Tiberias was given on October 11, 2023.
The drone attack on Israel from Iraq comes after thousands of Hezbollah fighters were injured in a drone explosion in Lebanon on Tuesday. The Israeli army said in its statement that Israeli artillery attacked several Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Israel says it will continue to act against the threat of Hezbollah to defend itself.
