Tel Aviv. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again spoken of responding to Iran’s missile attacks. Speaking from the military headquarters in Tel Aviv, he said that no country in the world would accept such attacks on its cities and citizens and neither would Israel. He said that Israel has not only a duty but also a right to respond to these attacks.
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran had fired about 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Israeli defense systems destroyed most of the missiles. Some missiles had fallen. The Iranian journalist had claimed that Israel has suffered loss in this but is hiding it. However, some missiles did cause damage to Israel, particularly Israeli airbases. The Israeli military said that no aircraft or critical infrastructure was damaged in the attack.
Netanyahu promised to send citizens of northern Israel back to their homes, saying that as we moved towards the end of Hamas battalions in Gaza almost a month ago, we fulfilled the promise we made to the people of the North. He also claimed to eliminate Hezbollah leaders.
Netanyahu said Israel had destroyed a large part of Hezbollah’s missile and rocket stockpile. He also said that Israeli soldiers are destroying the tunnels built by Hezbollah, but this work has not been completed yet. Meanwhile, Netanyahu also targeted French President Emmanuel Macron, who had said not to supply arms to Israel. Netanyahu said that the President should think while making such a statement. He expressed confidence that whether weapons are obtained or not, Israel’s victory is certain.
