Tel Aviv. The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has warned people in Lebanon to immediately leave their homes and other buildings. The Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group has stored weapons. The announcement by the IDF is being seen as a series of Israel’s rapid attacks in Lebanon. This makes it clear that Israel is now in the mood to enter into a direct fight against Hezbollah. IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that we advise the citizens of Lebanese villages to immediately move away from the danger for their safety.
Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets, missiles and drones targeting northern Israel in retaliation for the recent Israeli attack that killed one of its top commanders and several fighters. The attacks and counter-attacks have raised fears of a wider war even as Israel continues its battle against Palestinian Hamas in Gaza and tries to return several hostages taken in the October 7 attack.
According to media, the message written in Arabic said that if you are in a building where Hezbollah has kept weapons, then leave that village until further notice. It is not immediately clear how many people have been affected by Israel’s order. However, communities on both sides of the border have evacuated the area due to almost daily firing. Israel has accused Hezbollah of turning entire communities in the south into terrorist bases, where there are hidden rocket launchers and other infrastructure.
