After breaking the back of Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah through air strikes, the Israeli army has wreaked havoc in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military issued a statement on Friday saying it had killed 250 Hezbollah fighters in the past four days since launching a ground campaign in southern Lebanon.
The army said 21 of the 250 militants it killed in a four-day precision operation in southern Lebanon were commanders.
According to a report by The Times of Israel, the army claimed to have killed 250 Hezbollah fighters in its ground fighting since Monday.
This includes five brigade level commanders, 10 company commanders and six platoon commanders.
After the air strikes, the 98th and 36th divisions of the Israeli army, which entered the Lebanese border, have liberated many Lebanese villages near the Israeli border from Lebanese fighters.
The army says that Hezbollah fighters have fled these villages, leaving behind a large number of weapons and infrastructure.
Before launching a ground attack, the Israeli Air Force carried out large-scale air strikes throughout the night. The air force targeted the main cities of southern Lebanon, clearing the way for ground forces.
Along with this, the Israeli Air Force carried out so much bombing around Beirut that the sound of explosions was heard several kilometers away in Beirut and seven buildings kept shaking with each explosion. No information was given by the Israeli Army about this bombing as to what was the target of this bombing.
Lebanon’s national news agency reported that there had been more than 10 consecutive airstrikes in the area. In which many people have also lost their lives.
The Israeli Army said that about 100 rockets were launched at Israel by Hezbollah on Friday, however, these rockets were destroyed in the air by Israel’s Iron Dome.
