Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has written a message for PM Modi regarding the demise of veteran Indian businessman Ratan Tata.
Ratan Tata died on Wednesday at the age of 86.
He was undergoing treatment for a long time at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His condition was critical for some time.
Netanyahu wrote in his message, My friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I and many of our fellow Israelis are saddened by the demise of Ratan Tata. He was a son of India and a champion of good relations between the two countries.
Please convey my condolences to Ratan Tata’s family. Apart from Netanyahu, many big leaders from around the world have expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata.
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti said, India has lost a great man with a big heart. When I was appointed ambassador, the first congratulatory message I received was from Ratan Tata.
French President Emmanuel Macron said, Ratan Tata’s vision was dedicated to development. He gave new heights to industry in France and India.
He said, France has lost a dear friend of India. He will be known for his humanitarian works.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft founder Bill Gates also paid tribute to Ratan Tata. Sundar Pichai said, when I last met Ratan Tata, there was a discussion with him about Waymo.
Bill Gates said, Ratan Tata was a visionary leader who worked for the development of industry not only in India but in many countries.
Had the opportunity to meet him on many occasions. His humanitarian thinking and work done in the interest of the people are worthy of appreciation.
