Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel has attacked Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon in recent days in a way they could never have imagined. Netanyahu said, “If Hezbollah hasn’t understood the message, I promise you it will soon understand the message.”
“If Hezbollah has not understood the message, I promise you it will soon understand the message,” he said, according to a statement from Netanyahu’s office.
Israel and Lebanon exchanged heavy gunfire on Sunday, with Israeli aircraft carrying out heavy bombings in Lebanon’s south in the heaviest attack of the year-long war, while Hezbollah claimed rocket attacks on military targets in Israel’s north.
