Amman. The man accused of firing on a police team near the Israeli Embassy in Jordan has been killed. Officials said three police officers were injured in the firing incident near the embassy. This firing incident took place early Sunday morning in the Rabiyah area of Amman, the capital of Jordan.
Jordan’s Directorate of Public Security said in media reports that a man was firing in the area. Security forces, upon receiving information, chased and surrounded the attacker, after which he started firing at the security forces. The security forces also retaliated in which the attacker was killed. The attacker has not been identified yet. There was a peace agreement between Israel and Jordan in 1994, but tension has arisen between the two countries since the war with Hamas and Israeli attacks in Lebanon.
