Investigation is underway into the alleged sexual assault of a polio worker in Jacobabad, Pakistan.

A female polio worker, who was sexually assaulted in a village in Jacobabad, was thrown out of the house by her husband on Saturday, Pakistan’s English newspaper Dawn reported.
The special thing is that the husband took action against her the very next day of her testimony before the judge in the court regarding the harassment.
The victim’s lawyers Nisar Ahmed Mugeri and Zahid Ali Soomru had filed a petition to reunite the mother and children.
According to the report, the victim told reporters that the suspect abducted her at gunpoint on Wednesday while she was returning with her team leader after administering polio drops to a child at the last house.
The woman says that he had also threatened the team leader that if he followed him, he would shoot him.
According to the newspaper, the victim has said that he took her to the forest, where three other people were already present. All three had their faces covered.
The woman claims that one of her companions made a video of the sexual assault. The woman has also talked about being tortured. She said, ‘After the harassment, he let me go. I returned to the village, but no villager gave me shelter.’
The victim said she could only identify the suspect but could not identify his three companions as their faces were covered.
The police have arrested the suspect. According to the report, the woman says that after the incident, her husband threw her out of the house and also took away her three innocent daughters to China. She has appealed to Pakistan People’s Party President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for help.

The suspect of the incident was presented in the court by Mauladad police, from where he has been sent to 7 days of police custody. The court has directed the police to take samples and submit medical reports.
