North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered the production of suicide drones on a large scale.
Recently, Kim became a witness to the testing of drones. These drones were put forward for the first time by North Korea in August. It is being said that North Korea has acquired this technology from Russia.
However, nothing has been said officially regarding this yet.
According to media reports, these drones can hit both land and sea. They have been manufactured by North Korea’s Unmanned Aerial Technology Complex or UATC.
Reports quoted Korean news agency KCNA as saying, ‘He stressed the need to build a serial production system as soon as possible and asked for manufacturing at full capacity.’
What are suicide drones?
Actually, these suicide drones are loaded with explosives. Their main job is to attack enemy positions. The special thing is that they work like guided missiles.
The agency says, ‘Suicide drones will be used in areas with different firepower. Their objective is to launch precise attacks on enemy targets on land and sea.
When these drones were first unveiled in August, experts had linked it to the possibility of stronger cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
There are possibilities that North Korea has acquired this technology from Russia. It is said that Russia acquired it from Iran and it is suspected that Iran acquired it by hacking from Israel.
Experts say that these drones are similar to Israel’s HAROP suicide drone, Russia’s Lancet-3 and Israel’s HERO 30.
Is South Korea the target?
The special thing is that in the year 2022, North Korea had sent drones across the border, on which the South Korean army could not open fire. He said that these drones are very small.
Now last year, instructions have also been given by South Korea for drone operation, so that the threats can be dealt with. Kim has already described South Korea as North Korea’s ‘main enemy’.
