Today’s weather: Weather fluctuations continue in Delhi-NCR. There has been a slight decrease in the day temperature as compared to the previous days, yet the heat is still being felt. According to IMD, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was 33.1 degrees Celsius, which is one degree more than normal. Today the sky is expected to be clear, but there may be fog in the morning. The maximum temperature can be up to 33 degrees and the minimum temperature can be up to 19 degrees. Apart from this, there will be fog in the morning between 25th to 29th October but today the sky will be clear.
Till now, no significant impact of winter is visible in the plains of North India. This year the temperature in Amritsar, Pathankot, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hisar, Karnal and Delhi remains between 18 to 20 degrees. The lowest temperature of this month in Delhi was recorded at 17.4 degrees on October 15.
Possibility of heavy rain in Bengal
Due to cyclone ‘Dana’ in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains are expected in many districts of South Bengal including Kolkata. Railways has canceled the operation of more than 150 trains on 24 and 25 October. The cyclone is likely to hit the coast between Bhitarkanika National Park and Dhamra Port of Odisha, causing winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. IMD has warned of heavy rain in many districts of South Bengal on 24 and 25 October.
Storm alert in Andhra Pradesh
It is expected to rain with thunderstorms in some parts of Andhra Pradesh for the next five days from October 23. There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam between October 23 and 27. There may also be rain and thunder in some areas of Rayalaseema.
Danger of rain in Bihar
There is a possibility of change in weather in Bihar also. Due to cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, there is a possibility of light rain with strong winds in many districts of East Bihar between 24th and 26th October. This effect will be seen in Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Sheikhpura, and other districts. Keeping all this in mind, IMD has advised people to remain alert.
