Ahmedabad Ranotsav has started in Tent City located in the famous white desert of Kutch, the border district of Gujarat. This Ranotsav, which will attract tourists from all over the world, will continue till March 15, 2025. Tourists have started flocking to Dhorada village of Kutch at the beginning of Ranotsav. Let us tell you that Dhordo village, where Ranotsav is organized, has recently been given the award of the world’s best tourist village by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. The border district Kutch has now reached the world stage in terms of tourism. The white desert of Kutch and Rannotsav have become the most favorite destinations for tourists at the end of the year. Ranotsav means the confluence of art, culture, hospitality, tradition, music of Kutch. This year, plastic space has been used for the first time in Ranotsav. Besides, the number of electric vehicles and bicycles has also been increased. Keeping in mind environmental protection and sustainable development, the use of plastic has been minimized in Ranotsav from this year. With the beginning of Diwali holidays, tourists from all over the country including Kutch and Gujarat have made bookings for Ranotsav Tent City and as per the fixed bookings, they will flock to enjoy Ranotsav this year. From the World Heritage Site Dholavira to the White Desert of Kutch, tourists can now enjoy the World Heritage Site Dholavira as well as the White Desert through the Road to Heaven. In such a situation, 80 to 90 percent advance booking has been done for the month of December this year. The entire structure of Kutch culture has been erected in the tent city of Ranotsav. The journey of Ranotsav has started from 2009. From the vision of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2009 till 2023, Ranotsav has improved every year and every year Ranotsav is being taken to a different level. This year, changes have also been made in the tent city keeping in mind environmental protection and sustainable development. 400 tents have been installed in the tent city built during Ranotsav. During Ranotsav, tourists are coming to see the natural sight of white sheets spread far and wide on the earth. The court and royal tents will attract tourists in Ranotsav. Lakhs of tourists visit White Rann every year and the Gujarat Tourism Department and the state government earn crores of rupees.
