Two Hindu families who were victims of persecution in Pakistan have come to India.
A total of 21 people from these two families entered India on Wednesday from the Attari border near Amritsar with all the essential items.
These people have currently moved to Jodhpur in Rajasthan and want to settle there. These people have come to India from Pakistan at a time when Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh as well.
Bangladesh is witnessing a period of massive violence amid the coup and houses of Hindus are being burnt on a large scale. Many Hindus, including two councillors, have been murdered and even temples have been targeted.
A man from Jodhpur had come to receive the 21 people who had reached the Attari border. He said that 16 of these people were relatives of his wife.
Apart from this, 5 other people also belong to a family related to them. All these people used to live in Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab province of Pakistan, but seeing the continuously deteriorating environment, these people decided to migrate.
The person who came to pick them up from Jodhpur said that his brother-in-law and father-in-law want to stay here. He is not telling the reason for this, but they are not ready to return to Pakistan.
According to the Times of India report, many people in this group said that some more Hindu families may come to India in the coming days. Not only this, one of them said that the way Hindus are being tortured in Bangladesh.
Seeing this, we felt that we should leave for India as soon as possible. It is worth noting that groups of people from the Hindu community often come to India from Pakistan.
These people say that they have to face persecution in the name of religion. They are pressured to become Muslims.
Apart from this, in Pakistan, girls are also often kidnapped by fundamentalists and they are forcibly married.
