International Hockey Stadium will come again in a new form
Rajnandgaon has a distinct identity as a hockey nursery.
Revenue and Disaster, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankaram Verma today attended the closing ceremony of the 80th Mahant Raja Sarveshwar Das Memorial All India Hockey Competition 2024 held at the International Hockey Stadium.
Addressing the program, Sports Minister Tankram Verma congratulated and congratulated everyone for this historic event.
He said that the people of Rajnandgaon have preserved the tradition of Mahant Raja Sarveshwar Das Memorial All India Hockey Competition for years.
Due to the efforts of former Chief Minister and Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, the residents of the district have got the facility of this international hockey stadium. Rajnandgaon district is famous for hockey and tableau and the district has a distinct identity as the nursery of hockey.
Along with education, values are also important. The International Hockey Stadium in Sanskaardhani Rajnandgaon will again come in a different new form. Here players will get flood lights, astroturf and other sports related facilities. Chhattisgarh government is a double engine government. The Central Government’s “Khelo India Scheme” is being implemented in the state. Continuous work is being done to advance and enhance the sports talent of the state.

Former MP Madhusudan Yadav said that due to the willpower of the people of Rajnandgaon, Mahant Raja Sarveshwar Das Memorial All India Hockey Competition is being organized every year. Along with equipping the International Hockey Stadium with Astroturf, other sports facilities were also provided.
This event has been successfully organized in Rajnandgaon with the help of public cooperation, sports department, Rajgami Sampada Trust and government administration.
Former MP Abhishek Singh said that there have been 80 years of achievements in Sanskaardhani and many generations have witnessed this historic event.

The people of Rajnandgaon have cherished this event wholeheartedly. Due to the efforts of former Chief Minister and Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly Dr. Raman Singh, International Hockey Stadium has been established in the district, but with time there is a need for change. Astroturf and other sports facilities will continue to be available to the district through Sports Minister Tankram Verma. The echo of hockey and tableaux here will always remain.
While distributing the prizes of the competition on this occasion, the guests presented a huge silver trophy to the winning team by the organizing committee and Rs 5 lakh given by the former president of Chhattisgarh Cricket Association Baldev Singh Bhatia, a huge silver trophy to the runner-up team by the organizing committee and social worker Bahadur Rs 3 lakh given by Ali, third place team Army XI C.N. Tiwari Trophy and Rs. 51 thousand given by Ramesh Naresh Dakalia and the fourth prize was given to SAIL Academy with a trophy and Rs. 21 thousand given by international hockey player Mrinal Chaubey.
The award for the best goalkeeper of the competition was given to PE Ponnana of the Air Force, an attractive trophy and Rs 5,000 given by Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg, Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament awards given by Rajesh Jain.
The best player of the competition, Tarun Yadav, SAIL Academy was given an attractive trophy and Rs 11,000 by Manish Kamlesh Gautam, the winning runner-up and third place team of the competition was given a huge attractive cup by Bhilai’s senior hockey player Anoop Srivastava. The judges were also rewarded on this occasion.
