Mahendragarh. In Haryana’s Mahendragarh, people started running out of their houses on Friday morning. Everyone was just shouting, “Get out, get out.” The reason for people running out of their houses was the tremors of the earthquake. The tremors of the earthquake were felt at 9:16 am on Friday morning at 9:38 pm. Its intensity was 3.0 magnitude. There was an atmosphere of fear among the people of the entire district, due to which people came out of their houses, shops and offices. However, there has been no report of any loss of life or property.
Meteorologist and geographer Dr. Chandramohan said that the epicentre of the earthquake was Tigra village near Narnaul at latitude 28.12 and longitude 76.21. The main reason for the earthquake in Delhi-NCR is the plate tectonics process. On the Mahendragarh-Dehradun fault line, some parts of Mahendragarh district come to Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Panipat and then to Dehradun in Uttarakhand. There are five fault lines in Delhi-NCR. These include Mahendragarh-Dehradun, Delhi-Moradabad, Delhi-Sargodha Ridge and Delhi-Haridwar Ridge. It is in these fault lines that the inner plates of the earth collide with each other and create a stir. At the same time, there is a possibility of many types of natural disasters in this area of Mahendragarh district.
