The new variant of Corona, JN.1, which has spread in seven states, is spreading in the country.

The number of infected people is continuously increasing. After Goa, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu, now Corona cases are raising concerns in Gujarat too.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government took important decisions in the health related meeting on Tuesday.

In the meeting regarding Corona, the state government took decisions like wearing masks, maintaining social distance, seven-day quarantine for infected persons and avoiding sending children with corona symptoms to school.

The Karnataka government held a review meeting on Tuesday. In which elderly and sick people have been advised to take a booster dose, if anyone has not taken the third dose.

The government has decided to purchase 30,000 doses of the vaccine from the Centre. However, state Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has said that the government is not imposing any restrictions on New Year celebrations and celebrations. The government will issue detailed guidelines in this regard.

The government has issued guidelines to the people. In which everyone is advised to wear a mask, especially people above 60 years of age and people with other serious diseases.

It is advised not to send children with symptoms like cold and fever to school. If necessary, testing will also be done.

Rao also stressed that unless hospitalization is necessary, people infected with Covid should be quarantined at home for a week.

One week casual leave for government employees
Minister Rao said, “All those who are undergoing home isolation and working in government and non-government sectors will be given compulsory casual leave for one week.

Whereas hospitalized people will be given special leave for the period of hospitalization.

It is noteworthy that 34 cases of JN.1 variant have been recorded in the state, including three deaths.

Of the 69 JN.1 cases reported across the country, Karnataka is one of the most infected states. However, the government has said that people need to be on alert instead of panicking.
