The fourth accused has been arrested in the case of temple attack in Canada.
The accused has been identified as Inderjit Gosal, 35, of Brampton.
He is the mastermind of the temple attack and is close to Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Inderjeet had prepared the plan to attack the Hindu temple in Greater Toronto.
After his arrest, he was directed to appear in the court and released. Earlier, the police had arrested three accused.
Inderjit Gosal is the right-hand man of Sikhs for Justice chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. After the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, he is looking after the work related to the referendum.
Police said, Gosal was arrested on November 8. He has been released on bail and told to appear in court on a scheduled date.
Let us tell you that on November 4, Khalistanis had targeted many temples in Canada. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also condemned these attacks and gave a strong message to Canada. Many countries of the world had condemned this type of attack on Hindus in Canada.
A special team has been formed to investigate the incident and investigation is underway, police said. CCTV footage is being scrutinized to identify the accused of the attacks.
Canadian MP Chandra Arya accused some of the country’s leaders of trying to “deliberately pit Hindus and Sikhs against each other”. He stressed that Hindus and Sikhs of Canadian origin are on one side and Khalistanis on the other.
Arya’s comments come a few days after the incident of attack on Hindus in a temple in Brampton. Arya said many Canadian leaders are trying to portray the Brampton incident as a conflict between Canadian-origin Hindus and Sikhs.
He said that due to the deliberate actions of some leaders and the influence of Khalistanis, Canadians have now started considering Khalistanis and Sikhs as the same.
On November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with people at the Hindu Sabha temple located in Brampton city of Greater Toronto area of Ontario.
The protesters had disrupted the program organized by the temple authorities and the Indian Consulate.
Arya, MP from Ontario’s Nepean region, said in a post on ‘X’ on Friday, “Some leaders are deliberately avoiding mentioning and blaming Khalistanis for this attack.
They are blaming other elements. “They are misleading Canadians by presenting this as an issue between Hindus and Sikhs.”
Arya said, “With the attack on the temple by Khalistani extremists, the leaders are portraying Hindus and Sikhs in such a way that they are against each other.
Whereas, this is not the true picture. In reality, Hindu-Canadians and Sikh-Canadians are on one side and Khalistani are on the other.”
