Miracle! The centuries-old idol of Vishnu found here on the river bank, looks like Ramlala…

Shivalinga and idol of Lord Vishnu have been found in Karnataka near the border of Telangana.

It is being told that this idol is centuries old. Officials gave this information on Wednesday.

He said that an ancient idol of Lord Vishnu has recently been found in the Krishna river in a village in Raichur district of Karnataka with all the ten avatars carved around it.

Officials said the statue is notable given the fact that its features resemble the statue of ‘Ram Lalla’ recently consecrated in the newly constructed temple in Ayodhya.

The idol of Vishnu is in a standing position with a halo around it representing the 10 incarnations. At the same time, an ancient Shivalinga has also been found along with the idol.

Dr. Padmaja Desai, lecturer in ancient history and archeology at Raichur University, said about the Vishnu idol that it might have adorned the sanctum sanctorum of a temple and was thrown into the river, possibly causing damage to the temple.

It is believed that the sculptures may be 1,000 years old. Archaeologists believe that this statue dates back to the 11th or 12th century AD.

The idol of Vishnu and the Shivalinga are now in the possession of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
