According to the report, an official said that efforts for infiltration from across the border are continuing. Based on intelligence received from different agencies, we coordinate with the army to maintain control over the border. BSF Inspector General (Kashmir Frontier) Ashok Yadav said that we also take care of the number of terrorists at the launching pad, which helps us shape our strategy to foil any conspiracy.
He said that the security forces will ensure that any infiltration attempt is foiled. When asked how many terrorists are currently waiting at the launchpad, he said the number of terrorists at the launchpad is usually between 130 and 150, sometimes it can be a little more. On the challenges faced in conducting peaceful assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the official said that the security forces had coordinated with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and administration to ensure fair and peaceful elections.
He said there were several threat inputs, but with our well-coordinated planning, we prevented any attack and the elections were successful. Ashok Yadav said, now, winters are approaching, preparations are being made, before the winters start, terrorists often try to infiltrate. He said there are inputs about possible infiltration attempts on the LoC.
