Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) supremo Begum Khaleda Zia is at the top in this battle. Her son Tariq has also started campaigning to make mother Khaleda the next PM.
Tariq is going to make a film based on the life of his mother Khalida Zia. The name of the film is- Mother of Democracy. Local media reports that the pre-production work of the film has also started.
Khaleda Zia remained behind bars during Sheikh Hasina’s rule in Bangladesh. Her bank accounts were also seized. After Hasina fled the country, the opposition in Bangladesh has become prosperous.
After the protests, a new interim government has also been formed under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus.
However, this is an interim government and soon elections will be held for the new government in Bangladesh. Due to this, there is a competition among Hasina’s opponents to become the top leader or PM.
Khaleda Zia’s cinematic coronation
Although it is a distant dream for Khalida to return to the post of Prime Minister due to her deteriorating health and advancing age, Tariq Anwar is still making a film on the life of his mother Khalida titled Mother of Democracy.
A movie titled ‘Mother of Democracy’ is about to be made and filmmaker M.K. Zaman is going to direct the movie.

After getting the permission from the former prime minister, completing the story and officially registering the title, pre-production work is now in full swing, reports Dhaka’s Daily Star.
The film will showcase the life of Khaleda Zia and her contribution to democracy in Bangladesh.
The film will portray Khaleda Zia as a champion of democracy and a strong leader who faced many challenges during her political career.
Filmmaker MK Zaman told another local newspaper, Kaler Kantho, “People should watch this film to understand and learn about true democracy in Bangladesh.”
