Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of Basant Panchami.
He will reach Abu Dhabi on Tuesday itself. Although there are three more temples in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is said that this is the largest Hindu temple in Western Asia.
After the inauguration of the temple, it will be the center of attraction for Hindus all over the world. This temple is built on 27 acres. This huge temple has seven minarets which indicate the seven emirates.
It is worth noting that the land for this Hindu temple has been donated by the Islamic country UAE itself. This temple is a wonderful example of architecture.
How much does Ram Mandir cost?
A lot of expenditure has been incurred in this temple. According to the information, Rs 700 crore has been spent in building the temple. If compared with the Ram temple of Ayodhya, this amount is not much less.
Rs 900 crore has been spent so far in building the Ram temple. There is going to be a total estimated expenditure of Rs 1800 crore.
Construction of two floors of Ram temple is still pending. Apart from this, seven small temples will also be built in the temple complex. The target to complete the temple has been kept in December this year.
Temple built in 4 years
According to the information, it took four years to build this grand Hindu temple built in Abu Dhabi. Its work was started only in 2019.
In between, construction was halted for some time due to the Corona epidemic. Only Indian artisans have worked in this temple. Apart from this, the temple is constructed with hand-carved stones.
Marble and sandstone have been used in it. Let us tell you that the UAE government had given 17 acres of land for the temple project. In 2017, PM Modi had also laid its foundation stone.
The temple will not move for 1000 years
Experts say that rebar has not been used in this temple. Only stones have been used in making it, whose age is said to be more than 1000 years.
The stones have been fixed with the help of grooves. Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching UAE on a two-day visit. He will address the Indian community at Zayed Sports City.
