Nehru’s record, an old agenda and entry into the South; BJP will have three targets in the new year…

The new year 2024 has started. Everyone has their own expectations from this new year, but this year is also very important from the point of view of the country’s politics.

General elections are going to be held this year, the results of which will tell whether Modi government will remain in power for the next 5 years or the country will get a new government.

The surveys so far show that at present BJP has the upper hand and the magic of PM Narendra Modi continues. However, BJP is also focusing on three things through which it would like to make 2024 memorable.

In fact, if BJP’s NDA alliance wins in the 2024 general elections, it will be a big success and it will be at par with former PM Jawaharlal Nehru.

In independent India, till now only Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru has been elected PM three times consecutively. In such a situation, if PM Narendra Modi wins again and becomes the Prime Minister, then he will equal his record.

Talking about the agenda of BJP, three issues have been with it since its inception. Construction of Ram Temple, removal of Article 370 and Uniform Civil Code.

Construction of Ram temple is going on and Ram Lala will be installed on 22 January. Whereas Article 370 was removed in 2019 itself. In this way, BJP has solved two out of the three issues included in its core agenda.

Will it be the turn of Uniform Civil Code now?

Now BJP has its eyes on Uniform Civil Code. Work on this has also progressed in Uttarakhand. Now BJP can take steps towards uniform civil code across the country.

After the fulfillment of the promises of Ram Mandir and Article 370, it is necessary for BJP to raise some new issue to maintain the enthusiasm of the cadre.

In such a situation, Uniform Civil Code is its old issue, by taking it forward it can activate the workers. Apart from this, BJP would like to strengthen itself in South India also this time. The biggest opportunity for this will be the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP’s target will also be to make inroads in South India

From the point of view of Lok Sabha elections, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are important states. Of these, BJP has been very weak in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

In such a situation, she would like her performance to be good in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Its performance in these states will give BJP an opportunity to claim itself as a Pan India party.

It is noteworthy that apart from these states, BJP could never form its government in eastern states like Odisha and Bengal. Not only this, she has not even been a part of any government here.
