Nipah outbreak in Kerala – NNSP

The threat of Nipah virus is gradually increasing in India. Cases of Nipah infection have been reported in Kerala. A patient died on Sunday after being infected with Nipah virus in Kerala, he was only 24 years old. Kerala Health Minister Veena George confirmed this. She said that the Nipah infected patient died in a private hospital in Malappuram.
All 175 people who came in contact with the young man who died of Nipah virus in Kerala are being monitored. People who came in contact with the infected patient are being tested. So far, 37 people have tested negative.
