No material to make nuclear, India broke rules; Pakistan’s statement on stopping the ship…

A statement has come from Pakistan regarding its cargo ship stopped in Mumbai.

Pakistan has said that it was not material for making nuclear weapons, but it was commercial material. The Pakistan Foreign Office said that the report of the seizure was marked with incorrect facts.

CMA CGM Attila, a ship bound from China to Pakistan, was stopped at Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port on January 23.

Officials said on Saturday that a DRDO team had inspected the consignment. This included a CNC machine, which is suspected to be used in Pakistan’s nuclear programme.

Rejecting this, Pakistan said in a statement that the ship was carrying a commercial lathe machine for a company in Karachi.

He said it was a simple case of import of commercial lathe machine by a Karachi based commercial unit.

It supplies parts to the automobile industry in Pakistan. It has also been said in the statement that all the transactions regarding this are transparent, the documents of which are also available.

Pakistani officials have called this wrong. It also said that relevant institutions are looking into the matter and also pointed out the violation of international rules.

On the other hand, Indian officials said that the investigation revealed discrepancies in shipping details.

The investigation has also revealed the possibility that attempts to hide the real buyers have been revealed. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
