North Korea has helped Russia a lot during the Ukraine war. Kim Jong Un government has provided many deadly weapons to Russia. America itself has made this claim.
The US Presidential Office White House, citing recently made public intelligence, said that North Korea has given ballistic missiles and launchers to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine.
US national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters that the US would raise the development with the UN Security Council.
Kirby called North Korea’s arms transfer to Russia a “significant and worrying increase.” He said the US would impose additional sanctions against those facilitating these arms deals.
Kirby also said that Iran has not supplied Russia with close-range ballistic missiles, but the US believes that Russia intends to purchase missile systems from Iran.
It is noteworthy that Russia has been heavily dependent on Iran for drones and other weapons for use against Ukraine.
India has not sent cannon balls to Ukraine
Earlier on Thursday, India rejected the reports which claimed to have found Indian-made artillery shells in Ukraine and clearly said that it has not sent any ammunition to the European country.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India has neither sent nor exported artillery shells to Ukraine. He said in the press conference, “We have seen some reports in the media in this regard. “We can clearly say that we have not sent artillery shells to Ukraine.”
Jaiswal made this comment in response to a question regarding reports of sighting of Indian-made artillery shells in Ukraine. India has been saying that the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday held “fruitful” talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on ways to take forward bilateral relations and exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
