Former Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has taken a dig at former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan joining BJP.
He wrote on Twitter that the way BJP is making leaders join whom it once called corrupt. That way, one day she would like me to also become a part of her party.
This is their falling level. Mahua Moitra had to lose her MP last year on allegations of asking questions in Parliament in exchange for cash.
He was accused of asking questions related to Gautam Adani in Parliament in exchange for money from a businessman.
Not only this, he had also shared his Parliament login ID with the staff of that businessman and questions were uploaded from his place.
Mahua Moitra said, ‘I think that by the grace of Ram Lalla, when 400 seats are coming in the 2024 elections, then why is BJP so desperate to bring every leader into its fold.
She is also bringing those whom she had declared corrupt at some point of time. If this continues, he will soon want to take me into his party.
Let us tell you that even though Mahua Moitra has lost her MP, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee’s trust in her has not diminished. While supporting Mahua, he had said that only he would benefit from suspending Mahua.
Due to Mamata Banerjee’s attitude, it is believed that Mahua Moitra will once again contest from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha seat, from where she was the MP. Let us tell you that Ashok Chavan, about whom Mahua Moitra has taken a jibe, had to leave the post of CM due to the Adarsh Housing scam.
Ashok Chavan is also being sent to Rajya Sabha and he can also file nomination in Maharashtra today or tomorrow. BJP leadership believes that Chavan’s entry will help it strengthen its hold in Marathwada.
