Kathmandu. Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has defended his decision to visit China instead of India. He called it absurd. Oli is going to China on an official visit from 2 to 6 December. He is being criticized for his decision to go to China first instead of India. It has been a tradition in Nepal that the one who becomes the new Prime Minister, first visits India. On the question of breaking this tradition, Oli asked whether it is written anywhere that a particular country should be visited first. Is it written in any religious scripture or the Constitution or the Charter of the United Nations? Nepal is in favor of maintaining better relations with all its neighbours. We have no enmity with anyone.
