Orange alert in 10 districts of Tamil Nadu, clouds will rain in Rajasthan also… – NNSP

There is going to be heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for the next three-four days.

According to the Chennai-based Regional Meteorological Center (RMC), heavy rain is expected across the state from October 12 to 15.

Regarding this, orange alert has been issued for 10 districts including the coastal areas of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Coimbatore and Tirupur.

Issuing an orange alert means being alert in advance about heavy rain.

RMC says that from October 10, a low pressure area formed over the Arabian Sea off the Goa and North Karnataka coasts, which moved towards the north-west.

On the morning of 11 October, it came over the east central Arabian Sea off the Maharashtra coast. Now it is likely to move west-northwest and turn into an effective depression over the central Arabian Sea by the morning of 13 October.

RMC has predicted moderate to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the next week. Heavy rainfall has been warned in the ghat areas of Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore and Tirupur.

Heavy rain is also expected in Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Theni, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, Madurai, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram and Pudukkottai. Keeping this in view, preparations have been started in different parts of the state.

If necessary, schools and colleges can also be closed. However, no announcement has been made regarding this yet.

Cloudy and rain forecast in Rajasthan

At the same time, many areas of Rajasthan are likely to remain cloudy for the next three-four days and there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at some places.

According to the weather centre, due to the influence of easterly winds, there is a possibility of cloudy sky and light to moderate rain at isolated places in Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur of southern Rajasthan.

The Center says that during this period the weather in the north-western parts of the state may remain mainly dry.

In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall occurred at isolated places in Rajasthan. Maximum rainfall of 23 mm was recorded in Sedwa (Barmer). During this period, the highest temperature recorded in Barmer was 39 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature in the national capital on Friday was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree below the season’s normal. India Meteorological Department gave this information.

According to this, the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.3 degrees Celsius at 5:30 pm and the humidity level was recorded at 48 percent.

The department has predicted that the sky will be clear on Saturday and Sunday and the maximum temperature may be 34.0 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the air quality index (AQI) at 6 pm stood at 143, which falls in the ‘moderate’ category.
