Pakistan has faced embarrassment by organizing National Day celebrations at its embassy in New Delhi.

Multiple media reports said the Indian government did not send any official representative to Pakistan’s National Day celebrations held at the embassy on Thursday.

During the program, when the national anthems of both the countries were played, Pakistan’s in-charge Saad Ahmed Waraich reportedly stood alone.

This is the first time since 2019 that Indian officials did not attend the ceremony. That year there was a terrorist attack in Pulwama, after which India took revenge by retaliating in Balakot.

Speaking on the occasion of National Day celebrations, Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires Saad Ahmed Warraich stressed that the goal of peace and stability is to “enhance mutual understanding,” “address common concerns,” and “including the Jammu and Kashmir issue.” Resolving long-standing disputes”.

Waraich claimed that Pakistan has made significant progress in “consolidating pluralism, strengthening democracy, promoting independent media and nurturing a vibrant civil society”.

According to the official

Addressing the diplomatic community, Waraich said, “The founders of Pakistan in India had envisioned a cordial relationship between the two countries. “Unfortunately, the history of our bilateral relations has remained challenging most of the time.”

“We can step out of the shadow of the past and write a future of hope for both our peoples based on peaceful co-existence, sovereign equality and mutual respect,” he said.

“The goal of peace and stability can be achieved by enhancing mutual understanding, addressing common concerns and resolving long-standing disputes, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.”

India has always been telling Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir will always be an integral and inseparable part of India. Pakistan celebrated its National Day at its High Commission on Saturday.

This day marks the adoption of the historic Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940. This proposal laid the foundation of a separate country for Muslims.
