Pakistani arrested from Canada for planning attack in US

Ormstown. A Pakistani citizen has been arrested from Canada on charges of planning an attack in America. He was planning a big attack in New York on the anniversary of the Hamas attack. His target in New York was the Jewish-dominated area.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said that 20-year-old Muhammad Shahzeb Khan was arrested in the city of Ormstown in Quebec province. He was planning a deadly attack targeting Jewish citizens in the United States. He was produced in a court in Montreal. According to US agencies, he was also talking about attacks in India.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Commissioner Mike Duhaime said, “Reports of threats to the Jewish community are concerning. We will not tolerate any threats, harassment or violence targeting Jewish communities. This planned anti-Semitic attack against Jewish people in the US is reprehensible and there is no place in Canada for this type of ideological and hate-motivated crime. We are committed to keeping all Canadians safe and ask for support from all Canadians to help prevent such threats.”
Canada’s Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said the arrest was made possible because of the strong partnership between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the FBI. “Jewish Canadians and Jewish Americans deserve to be safe in their communities,” he said.
At the same time, US Attorney General Merrick Garland said that Shahzeb Khan is also known as Shazeb Jadoon. It is alleged that he planned a terrorist attack in New York City around October 7. Its purpose was to kill as many Jews as possible in the name of ISIS.
