Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has made a big claim.
He has directly blamed Pakistan for the tension and violence in Bangladesh. He said that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has a hand in the violence and political turmoil in Bangladesh.
Speaking to PTI, Wazed said, “We have found a lot of evidence. We suspect that Pakistan’s ISI was involved in this entire incident.”
He said that both the attack and the agitation were pre-planned. Apart from this, a lot of sparks were ignited through social media.
Wazed said that on one hand the government was trying to control the situation and on the other hand they kept making the situation worse.
Sajeeb Wazed said that the kind of weapons with which the protesters were attacking the police could only be provided by foreign forces or terrorist organizations.
Will Sheikh Hasina return to Bangladesh?
After fleeing from Dhaka, Sheikh Hasina went straight to India. Joy has claimed that Sheikh Hasina will return to Bangladesh after democracy is restored.
However, it has not been decided whether she will remain active in politics or retire. She said that the members of Sheikh Mujibur’s family will never leave the people of Bangladesh alone. The party will also not be left unclaimed.
He said, it is also true that I had said that she will never go back to Bangladesh. But a lot has changed in two days.
Our leaders and workers are being attacked across the country. Now we will do everything possible to ensure the safety of our people.
We cannot leave them alone. Awami League is the oldest and largest party in Bangladesh. So we cannot run away leaving our people. They will definitely return to Bangladesh and democracy will be restored again.
Joy thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government for protecting his mother. He said that the Indian government should advocate for the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh at the international level.
He said that Awami League and India have an everlasting friendship. Therefore, India should take care of the security of Awami League leaders.
He told the interim government of Bangladesh that Bangladesh is on the way to becoming Afghanistan. In such a situation, it is very important to enforce law and order.
