Palestinian PM resigns after seeing Gaza massacre, earthquake in Muslim country; Hamas started a new move

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh has resigned from his post amid the ongoing fierce war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

He said in a statement on Monday that the resignation was given in writing on February 26. He has given the reason behind his resignation in view of the increasing violence in Gaza city and the situation of starvation due to war.

There has been an uproar in the Muslim country after Shatayeh’s resignation. Meanwhile, Hamas has started planning to form a new government in collaboration with Fatah party.

A meeting may be held in Moscow next week. All this is happening when Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that after the complete elimination of Hamas in Gaza, Israel will decide what will be the future of Gaza?

“The decision to resign comes after unprecedented attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and war, massacres and starvation in the Gaza Strip,” Shtayyeh said in submitting his resignation to Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday.

“I see that new challenges require new governmental and political arrangements that meet the needs based on unity and peace in Gaza and in Palestine,” he said.

Shtayyeh’s comments come as US pressure grows on Abbas to dissolve the PA and begin work on a new government that could help Israel rule a post-war Palestinian state.

Although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has on several occasions rejected calls for a Palestinian state to take control and rule over Gaza, he has said that the future of the Muslim nation can be determined only after the complete elimination of Hamas in Gaza. Will be decided.

Last week, Israeli lawmakers backed Netanyahu’s rejection of any “unilateral” recognition of a Palestinian state.

Meanwhile, there is also discussion that Hamas is moving forward with the Fatah party to form a new government in Palestine. For this, a meeting is going to be held between Hamas and Fatah Party in Moscow, the capital of Russia next week.

Pressure from western countries is also increasing
Palestinian PM Shtayyet’s resignation comes at a time when Western countries are allegedly trying to weaken the government in Palestine and advocating for a new political system in Gaza.

America is also optimistic about the new government in Palestine and is in favor of ending the genocide in Gaza soon.

America has repeatedly asked Israel to stop the massacre in Gaza, but Israel is not ready to stop the war until the complete destruction of Hamas.
