Pandit Nehru called Indians lazy? That speech of former PM, on which Narendra Modi got upset…

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday also targeted Congress and former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

He said in Parliament that Congress did not trust the strength of the country. Modi said that former PM Jawaharlal Nehru had humiliated Indians and said that Indians work less.

He said that Nehru ji’s thinking towards Indians was that Indians were lazy. Actually, PM Modi was referring to Nehru’s speech on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August 1959.

Let us tell you what Pandit Nehru had said for which the current Prime Minister has targeted him.

On August 15, 1959, former PM Nehru had said from the Red Fort, ‘India has not generally developed the habit of working hard. It is not our fault, we develop such habits. But the thing is that we do not work as much as the people of Europe, Japan, China, Russia or America do.

He said that do not think that those communities became happy by some magic, rather it was due to hard work and intelligence. Nehru said that we too can move ahead with hard work and intelligence. There is no other option other than this.

Nehru’s statement on inflation also targeted
PM Modi today attacked Congress fiercely regarding this speech of Jawaharlal Nehru. He said, ‘Nehru ji’s thinking towards Indians was that Indians are people of less intelligence.’

PM Modi did not stop here. While talking about inflation, he reminded the statement of Pandit Nehru. Modi said, ‘History is witness to this that whenever Congress comes, inflation comes.

It was once said that ‘due to increase in the prices of everything, problems have spread and the common people are trapped in them.’ Nehru ji had said this from the Red Fort.

Even after 10 years, the same songs were sung about inflation. He has been the PM of the country for 12 years but every time inflation is not coming under control. We were singing songs about the fact that you are facing problems due to inflation.

Indira ji’s thinking is not much different from Nehru ji: Modi
Narendra Modi said that Indira ji’s thinking was not much different from Nehru ji. He had said from the Red Fort – Unfortunately, our habit is that when some auspicious work is about to be completed, we suffer from a feeling of self-satisfaction.

When any difficulty arises, we become hopeless. Sometimes it seems that the entire nation has adopted a defeatist sentiment. PM Modi said that looking at Congress today, it seems that even though Indira ji could not assess the country correctly, she had assessed Congress accurately.
