Parliament session extended by one day, why is the white paper discussed; What is the plan of Modi government…

The current budget session of Parliament is being extended by one day till Saturday.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi gave this information here. Sources said the government is planning to present a ‘white paper’ comparing the state of the Indian economy before and after 2014. B

The JAT session began on January 31 and was to end on February 9. It is noteworthy that before the general elections, Modi government is very attacking on Congress and especially the UPA regime.

PM Modi had also targeted this during his address.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in her interim budget speech that the central government would release a ‘white paper’ comparing the state of the Indian economy before and after 2014.

He had said that the crisis of those days has been overcome and the economy has been firmly established on a high sustainable growth path with all-round development.

The Finance Minister, in his speech on February 1, had said that it is now appropriate to look at where we were till 2014 and where we are now, only for the purpose of learning lessons from the mismanagement of those years. The government will lay a white paper on the table of the House.

It is noteworthy that Parliament proceedings usually do not take place on weekends. But there have been several instances in recent years when the House meeting has been called on a Saturday.

It is believed that this step of the government is the latest series of attacks against Congress. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the central government is continuously raising questions on the previous regime.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha on Monday, PM Modi had raised questions on everyone from Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi.
