A landslide has occurred between Sakleshpur and Ballupete in Mysore division.
In view of this, South Western Railway has cancelled many trains between Mangaluru and Bengaluru. Also, the routes of some trains have been changed.
Divisional Railway Manager of Palakkad Division of South Western Railway Arun Kumar Chaturvedi gave this information. He said that 12 trains have been cancelled due to this landslide incident.
Arun Chaturvedi said that on August 18, the special express (07378) from Mangaluru Central to Vijayapura and the express (16540) from Mangaluru Junction to Yeshwantpur Junction will remain cancelled.
Similarly, on August 17, the trains included are the special express (07377) from Vijayapura to Mangaluru Central, the express from Murudeshwar to SMVV Bengaluru (16586), the express from SMVV Bengaluru to Murdeshwar and the express from KSR Bengaluru to Karwar.
There was a change in the route of these trains
Chaturvedi said that among the trains whose routes have been changed, the special express (07377) that left from Vijayapura on August 16 was terminated at Hassan itself.
Apart from this, the special express (07378) from Mangaluru Central to Vijayapura will now depart from Hassan.
At the same time, in Western Railway, some trains will be affected due to non-interlocking work at Sabarmati station in Ahmedabad division of Gujarat on August 20.
Divisional Railway spokesperson informed that a 4 hour block is being taken for non-interlocking work in connection with parcel siding commissioning at Sabarmati station on August 20.
Due to which some trains will be affected.
