The troubles of Pakistani woman Seema Haider, who came to India illegally with her four children in 2023 to live with her lover Sachin Meena, are going to increase.
Seema Haider’s first husband has sent a notice of Rs 3 crore each to Seema as well as Sachin. Seema Haider’s first husband Ghulam Haider has reportedly hired an Indian lawyer to get back the custody of their children.
According to News 18 report, Ghulam Haider also sent a notice of Rs 5 crore to Dr. AP Singh, who claimed to be Seema Haider’s brother.
Ghulam Haider has given one month’s time to Seema and Sachin. During this time both of them will have to apologize to the slave and pay the fine. If this is not done, legal action will be taken against both of them.
Seema’s first husband wants custody of children
Earlier, Ghulam Haider had appointed an Indian lawyer to get custody of his children.
Seema Haider, a resident of Jacobabad in Sindh province, left her home in Karachi in May last year with her children to go to India via Nepal.
Seema came into limelight in July when authorities got information about her living with Indian citizen (now her husband) Sachin Meena in Greater Noida area of Uttar Pradesh. It is being said that Seema is going to be the mother of Meena’s child.
Top Pakistani lawyer and human rights activist Ansar Burney said that Seema’s Pakistani husband Ghulam Haider has approached him for help in getting custody of their four children.
“After due process, we have engaged the services of an Indian lawyer, Ali Momin, and have sent a power of attorney to initiate legal proceedings in the Indian courts,” Burney said.
Seema-Sachin fell in love while playing PUBG
Bernie also runs a trust in his name, which works for the recovery of missing and kidnapped children. He has also represented Indian prisoners lodged in Pakistani jails.
Seema came into limelight when she said that she fell in love with Sachin Meena while playing the mobile game PUBG and decided to move in with Sachin. When Seema came to India via UAE and Nepal, her first husband worked in Saudi Arabia.
In an interview with BBC, Seema said that she had converted to Hinduism and refused to return to Pakistan. Seema claims that her children have also adopted Hindu religion.
Burney said Ghulam Haider’s case was strong and as per international laws, religious conversion of underage children is prohibited. He said, “The matter is very clear because even though Seema has now settled there, her children are Pakistani citizens and are of minor age, the father has full rights over them.”
Burney said that Ghulam Haider does not want anything from his wife but only wants to bring his children back to Pakistan.
In India, lawyer AP Singh, legal representative of Seema Haider and Sachin Meena, said, “We are not aware of any such developments. When we come to know about it officially, we will respond.”
Police is investigating the matter
Seema and Meena’s case is currently being investigated by the anti-terrorism squad of the Uttar Pradesh Police, which had detained the couple for questioning in July 2023, weeks after they were arrested by the Noida Police.
Seema had come with her four children in May and was secretly living in a rented house in Rabupura area. All the children were under seven years of age.
Seema and Meena were arrested on July 4 last year, but a local court granted them bail on July 7.
