Lift of 93.44 lakh metric tons of paddy for custom milling
Paddy will be purchased till 4th February
Paddy will be purchased in procurement centers on Saturday and Sunday
In Chhattisgarh, the paddy procurement campaign is going on continuously from November 1, 2023 under the Kharif marketing year 2023-24.
Taking a big decision in the interest of farmers, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will now purchase paddy at support price in the state till February 4. Paddy will be purchased on Saturday and Sunday also.
This year, as per Modi’s guarantee, the state government is purchasing paddy from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre.
So far, the state government has purchased 142.23 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from farmers at support price. In lieu of paddy procurement, an amount of more than Rs 29 thousand 318 crore has been paid to the farmers through the bank.
According to the information received from the General Manager of Markfed, till now 142 lakh 23 thousand 702 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 24 lakh 51 thousand 28 farmers in the state till January 31, 2024 at support price.
Along with paddy procurement, continuous lifting of paddy is going on for custom milling.
Till now, DO has been issued for lifting of 102 lakh 74 thousand 132 metric tons of paddy, against which 93 lakh 44 thousand 627 metric tons of paddy has been lifted by the millers.
