New Delhi. On Wednesday, in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, representatives of the Government of India, the Government of Tripura, the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) signed the Tripura Peace Accord Memorandum. After this agreement, the NLFT said that we have trusted the government. Therefore, we are ending the 30-year armed struggle. We have shared our conditions. We trust the Home Minister.
Home Minister Shah said that this agreement is the 12th agreement for the Northeast and the third agreement related to Tripura. So far, about 10 thousand militants have surrendered. All of them have left their weapons and joined the mainstream. Today, with the surrender and agreement of LLFT and ATTF, about 328 more armed cadres will join the mainstream.
