Rio de Janeiro. Thousands of people have protested on the streets of Rio de Janeiro against the decision of Brazil’s Supreme Court to ban the social media platform ‘X’. This is the first case of such a protest on the streets to ban a social media platform.
According to the information, Supreme Federal Court judge Alexander de Morais had ordered to block it because Elon Musk had not appointed a new legal representative for ‘X’. Apart from this, the judge also froze the accounts of Musk’s company Starlink, although Musk called this decision illegal, because ‘X’ and ‘Starlink’ are different companies. The Supreme Court has supported the suspension of ‘X’. Only after this, hundreds of people gathered at Copacabana Beach demanding the resignation of the concerned judge and staged a massive protest. This protest has exposed the widespread discontent among the people against the court’s decision.
