Sydney. Three people have died when two light aircraft collided mid-air and crashed into a forest area south-west of Sydney in Australia. Australian police, firefighters and ambulance crews rushed to two wreck sites in the semi-rural area, about 55 miles south-west of Sydney. An aircraft caught fire after the collision.
Confirmed that a Cessna 182 aircraft carrying two people collided with an ultralight aircraft carrying one person. No further information was provided about the victims. No one is expected to survive the accident. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate the cause of the accident.
