A major terrorist attack took place in the Russian capital Moscow on Friday.

Gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on people at a large Christian gathering place. More than 60 people have lost their lives in this attack.

Several Russian media outlets reported the shooting and said the shooting caused a fire at a mall at the site. Videos posted on social media showed a large plume of black smoke rising above the building.

The attack took place when a crowd of people had gathered at the Crocus City Hall to attend a concert by the famous Russian rock band ‘Picnik’. This hall can seat more than 6,000 people.
